On Thursday evening, the Southwest Power Pool announced that it had raised its alert level in the event of an energy emergency.
The SPP said the 14-state service region, including Oklahoma, is now at Level 1.
Level 1 alert means that “all available generation resources” are able to “meet the expected demand for electricity”.
SPP also said it is not ordering any electricity supplier to shut down service at this time.
