Four young men who were spending their spring vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were confronted by an armed man, but instead of giving in to their demands, they fought back. The Broward sheriff's office released Tuesday a March 17 incident tracking sequence at a Mobil gas station on Oakland Park Boulevard.

The video showed a man coming out of a vehicle covered with his face. He approaches the group of young men and wields what appears to be a handgun. The victims told the police that he had said, "Give me everything you have." A struggle followed and the young men approached the suspect on the ground.

A second suspect, identified by police as Kevin Campbell, is rushed to help the gunman. But during the fight, the armed man dropped his weapon. One of the victims picked him up and pointed the two suspects, who eventually fled.

"It did not sound real – it looked like it was not a movie," said Alec Tanoos at a press conference, CBS Miami said.

The victims, who are all related, were able to give police the license plate of the suspect's vehicle and Campbell was arrested later in the day. He faces several charges, including a robbery with a firearm.

"We are trying to fight for the gun, I finally got my hands on the gun and I jerked it in. At that time, the (second) guy had arrived," said Aric Wisbey . "He actually raised his hands and said to me:" Give me the gun, we'll just leave. "

The police are still searching for the gunman, who is still on the run. They described it as measuring 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, with a stocky build, a dark complexion and dreadlocks. Police said his 9mm silver Taurus handgun was stolen in 2017.

Police said the victims of robbery should never do what these young men did because it could have deadly consequences, CBS Miami reported.

Three of the men were visiting Fort Lauderdale from Terre Haute, in Indiana. They said that none of them was ever afraid. "I know it's possible we're shot, I knew it's my family, we would die one for the other," said Alex Wisby.
