KANSAS CITY, MONTH – A report Friday afternoon
in the New York Times indicates that the merger between Sprint and T-Mobile could be about to be approved by the Department of Justice if certain conditions are met.
According to the report, the merger is about to be approved, but only if the two telecommunications giants divest assets that could be used to establish another wireless service provider.
News comes the same week as several attorneys general
announced possible plans
to bring legal action to block the $ 26 billion merger.
