After three years out of the spotlight of E3, Square Enix returned in 2018 with a pre-recorded Direct Style showcase. The half-hour presentation included 10 games in total, but she only made two new announcements: Babylon's Fall, a new adventure from the famous PlatinumGames action studio, and Human Head, by Quiet Man , who then won the unfortunate title of Metacritic. game reviewed 2018.

The Square Enix E3 Showcase also looked closely at several already announced titles, including Kingdom Hearts 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 4, which had just made its debut on the Microsoft scene the day before. However, nothing seemed to stir up the kind of enthusiasm we expected from an E3 presentation, leaving many people wondering what was the point of organizing a big press conference on E3.

Now, occupying the first site left vacant on Monday night by Sony, the press conference of Square E3 2019 announces it as a triumphant return. And as long as it does not stop, it has the range to deliver.

In anticipation of this year's show, Square Enix has unveiled the first details regarding its Avengers project since the announcement of the game in 2017. The publisher revealed that the game officially calls Marvel's Avengers, while confirming that it will be shown more at the press conference of E3.

Additional details about the game were then wrongly published as part of a list for an Avengers-focused E3 Coliseum show, to be held on June 11th. According to the description, the Marvel Avengers will be an action-adventure that "combines cinematic narration with -player and cooperative gameplay." Players can join teams of up to four and the heroes will be seemingly customizable.

Square also revealed Final Fantasy VII Remake at one month of E3. The new trailer has allowed us to take a fresh look at the character models, the fights and the details of the story. However, the pre-E3 trailer does not rule out the possibility of a press conference for the long-awaited remake; Square promised that more information would be revealed in June, probably at E3.

Outriders, apparently a new IP Square, was also revealed before the show. The brief trailer showed a person waking up in a cryostasis chamber and promising more videos would be shown at E3. Square filed a trademark for Outriders a little over a year ago – a year after announcing a partnership with the Bulletstorm developer, People Can Fly. It is not known if the two are related, but some theorized Outriders is the product of this partnership. We will know for sure after Square's press conference on E3.

Square Enix E3 Predictions

The most intriguing map in Square's hand is his top secret Avengers game, which we have not heard much about since its announcement in 2017. The editor has recently broken his silence by sharing the project, officially called Marvel & # 39; s Avengers, will be present at this year's show. . The craze for the franchise is almost record after the massive success of Endgame, making E3 the perfect time for Square to lift the curtain of his project to the size of superheroes.

Once again, there is also Final Fantasy 7. The long-awaited remake of Final Fantasy VII has not appeared in an E3 since its announcement in 2015. After resurfacing recently at the livestream State of Play of Sony, the look of Final Fantasy 7 ready to return to the show after four years of absence.

With a doubled Avengers and Final Fantasy VII, Square could not only change the perception of his own show, but also increase the enthusiasm for the whole of the E3 2019.

Other potential strengths include the fall of Babylon mentioned above, which has remained silent since its revelation last year, and the unpublished Square AAA shooting game from Bulletstorm's developer, People Can Fly, which could be called Outriders. The mystery shooter was announced two years ago and it seems like it would be too late for an official unveiling.

Plus, we know that Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers will be at the show on some level, according to an official tweet, As well as Dying Light 2. The highly anticipated sequel is published by Square in the Americas, according to Techland developer, on Twitter, with the promise of "more news" at the Square Enix E3 press conference.

Square might have surprised fans of its show at E3 last year, but an extensive lineup of games under development, led by the Crystal Dynamics Avengers project, offers the opportunity to get the most out of it. a memorable recovery. However, the potential of this potential will largely depend on the number of people it is willing to show.
