Stadia tests the redesigned web application user interface for the “Library” tab

Over the past few weeks, Google has rolled out update after update for Stadia, and now it looks like the company is planning a UI overhaul. Some users are seeing a new web UI for Stadia that includes many welcome improvements.

A Redditor first spotted a brand new UI for the Stadia web app on his account through the Chrome browser. The updated user interface, seen in action in a video below (via StadiaSource), brings great improvements to the Library part of the platform.

The updated interface first shows your most recently played game, with three new boxes appearing on the site. The first concerns “Pro Games”, the second being “Stadia News”, this one referring to community.stadia.com. Finally, there is a “New versions” section. The first and last of these new boxes are just shortcuts to these parts of the Stadia store.

Perhaps more important is the change of game pages. When you tap on a game from the Library tab, it now displays a larger menu. From there, you can access family controls for a game, which was previously limited to the game’s listing. The game page also displays categories for each game and a shortcut to the store page (probably for the game page). additional content).

To complete this UI update, Google is also showing three games in each row, making better use of space on larger laptop and desktop screens. Notably, users who have seen this new Stadia web UI don’t see any updates on mobile apps or Chromecast.

Unfortunately, this update still does not add a search bar. Hope next time.
