FIFA 21, Judgment and a series of cute platform games on the way

Google assures owners that despite its somewhat rough start, Stadia still enjoys full support from the company, with “over 100 games” currently slated for arrival on the cloud gaming service during 2021.

“We’re excited to continue bringing our players to experience great games from some of the best developers in the Stadia Store,” an official Stadia Forum post said. “Over the next few weeks and months, gamers can look forward to seeing everything from action-packed RPGs to competitive co-op titles and agile platforms. […] These games are just a sample of the over 100 games that will be added to the Stadia Store for our players to share, experience and play with friends in 2021. “

Among the titles lined up for Stadia’s immediate future are Electronic Arts’ FIFA 21 (March 17), Team Yakuza’s Detective Brawler Judgment (April 23) and the sci-fi RPG Cradle Games Hellpoint. A host of cute cartoon platformer titles including WayForward’s Shantae press releases Half-genius hero and Risky’s Revenge, The fun look of PixelHive Kaze and the wild masks, and the competitive multiplayer title of LiquidBit Killer Queen Black.

The post follows Stadia’s recent announcement that it was already shutting down its in-house game development studios, just over a year after the service launched. Going forward, Stadia intends to focus on delivering new and old third-party software to its user community, releasing more games each month.

I guess there’s still life in the old … uh … new dog.
