(AP) – Tool maker Stanley Black & Decker plans to open a manufacturing facility in North Texas and create about 500 jobs.
The Connecticut-based company announced Wednesday that the inauguration of the CRAFTSMAN factory construction project in Fort Worth will take place this summer.

According to a statement by Stanley Black & Decker, the 425,000-square-foot (39,483.46-square-meter) complex is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The plant will manufacture a variety of CRAFTSMAN mechanical tools, including bushings, ratchets, keys and general games.
Stanley Black & Decker currently operates approximately 30 manufacturing plants in the United States, with more than 100 manufacturing units around the world.
