Star Wars Director's New $ 250 Million Agreement Includes Video Games, Here's What We Know

Abrams and WarnerMedia have been working together for a long time. They had originally signed a "global" deal in 2006 before renewing its TV components in 2012 and 2015. As part of these agreements, Bad Robot has produced programs such as Fringe, Person of Interest, and Westworld.

As part of this agreement, Bad Robot will produce more television shows in dramatic, comic and longform genres, among others, and these will be produced for traditional television and streaming services. Since WarnerMedia owns HBO, you can expect certain content to appear on HBO platforms.

As for the new films that Bad Robot will produce for WarnerMedia, the press release states that they are exclusive to the Warner Bros. labels. Bad Robot is currently collaborating with Disney on Star Wars: Skywalker's Rise and is associated with Paramount for future Star Trek projects. WarnerMedia stated that it "would honor existing obligations" regarding these projects.

Turning to video games, Bad Robot's video games division, Bad Robot Games, will produce "new independent consumer games for mobile, PC and console". Bad Robot Games is a partnership between Chinese internet giant Tencent and Warner Bros. & # 39; Largest Video Game Division, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Abrams was working on a video game with Fortnite creator, Epic Games, called Spyjinx. However, there has been no recent update of the game.
