Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order updated for next-gen consoles

EA and developer Respawn released a patch for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

which updates the game for new generation consoles. While not a next-gen “ version ” of the game – it doesn’t add any features or new technology – the patch allows the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Fallen Order to use the new console hardware much more powerful. The next-gen optimization update improves Fallen Order’s frame rate, dynamic resolution ranges, and post-processing resolution, although the changes depend on the hardware you use.For the Xbox Series S, the only change is the framerate, which has gone from 45 FPS to 60 FPS. On Xbox Series X, “ Performance mode ” now reaches 60 FPS and dynamic resolution can scale between 1080p and 1440p. In “ normal mode ”, post-processing has been increased to 4K resolution, and dynamic resolution can vary between 1512p and 2160p.

More on PlayStation 5, the framerate went from 45 to 60 FPS. Unlike the Xbox version, there is no normal / performance mode; instead, post-processing is set to 1440p, and dynamic scaling has been disabled in favor of a locked render resolution of 1200p (previously the game was scaled between 810p and 1080p ).
