Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) is trading lower in the pre-market session after setting earnings expectations below expectations before today's presentation at Goldman Sachs' 26th Annual Conference At New York.

SBUX sees the BPA of fiscal year 2010 falling below the current growth pattern of + 10%. EPS for fiscal year 19 is reiterated at a consensus of $ 2.80 to $ 2.82. The coffee chain could give more color when officials officially go to the microphone.

In the future, the company plans to issue guidance for Fiscal 2010 regarding its Q2 earnings conference call, scheduled for October 30th.
