The 1-17 group was the lower half of the qualifications at Talladega. A draw determines their order in this session. On the 18th car, they will move on to the next group (best qualifiers of the previous race). The next group has qualified 1-20 at Talladega and also shot his random order for this round of qualifying.

"I was looking at the data. Our starting speed is quite similar. It's our cornering speed that is very different. You have to stay hooked and really give up, "Jimmie Johnson told FOX Sports before his knees.
Matt DiBenedetto is the first car on the race track. On his warm-up lap, he descends into the corner and climbs the hill. This will probably hurt his first round.
William Byron is the 4th car outing. He was fastest at the start of the first practice lap earlier in the day. He jumps to the top of the table with a new track record at 21.745 seconds
12 cars have made a tour up to now. Erik Jones is fourth on the blackboard. He hit the bumps in turn three and the car was distorted.
Bowman is the 25th car on the track. He followed in the green at turn two. However, after going through the bumps of turn 3, the advantage was lost.
Chase Elliott at the top of the table! He almost lost the advantage at the entrance to be three years old. He jumped hard in the gas and the tracker went quickly from red to green. There is no slowing down of speed today.
Brad Keselowski came out slowly from the pit lane. It costs on turns 1-2 and 3-4. He takes the throttle in the direction of the green. He uses the second round as his timed lap and the first round as a wash. He is the first car to try, 7th for him.
