Nittany Mall will see another business closed this spring.

Payless ShoeSource announced Saturday the closure of its 2,100 US stores. Clearance sales have already started and a spokesman for the shoe retailer told CNN Most stores will remain open until May, although some will close in March.

The company will also end its online store.

Payless plans to go bankrupt a second time, according to CNN. Previously, he was protected under Chapter 11 in 2017, when he had closed 400 stores.

For the Nittany shopping mall, it is the latest in a series of closures announced in 2019 after several companies closed in 2018.

GameStop and Francesca both closed in January. Matthew's Hallmark Shop previously announced, its last day will be February 25 and Gymboree is in the process of making a sale following the bankruptcy of its parent company and the liquidation of all its stores.

Two seasonal stores, Can's Art and Native Craft, close their doors until the fall.

A company has recently opened in the mall and at least two others are planning in 2019. KnB's Inflatables Please indoor family entertainment center is now operational, while the Happy Dishes restaurant and Rampage Room plan to open later this year.

Last year, the mall saw the closure of Sears, Bon-Ton, Charlotte Russe, Things Remember, Pearle Vision, Regis Salon, Zales, Aunt Anne Pretzels, RC's Dogs , the Garfield's Pub & Restaurant and the Old State Deli.

Native crafts, Happy Wraps, Last year, Chinese Hot Pot (Gudong) and a studio of the Dance Academy of State College opened their doors at the mall.
