CODE RED: Tornado Warnings, Watches issued for Central Tennessee Regions

TEMA has activated the level 3 emergency state.

By TEMA, this means that:

"At this level, a serious emergency or minor disaster has occurred or the situation is deteriorating rapidly and public warnings are being issued.The Tennessee Emergency Management Plan (Tennessee) TEMP) is activated and the state of emergency is automatically declared in accordance with TCA 58-2-107. Emergency services coordinators essential or specifically required for state departments are recalled to the center of the state's emergency operations. "

The decision was made because of floods and the risk of severe weather in the state on Saturday.
