Several inches of snow were deposited across Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, with snow totals ranging between 2 and 8 inches. Southern Minnesota was under an ice warning for most of the day, which expired early in the evening.
Teams from the Minnesota Department of Transportation hit the road overnight. Officials say mixed rainfall will make the job difficult. If the storm leaves the state before midnight, they say they are “confident” the roads will be ready for commuters by Wednesday morning.
