Steelers spokesman, Burt Lauten, issued the following statement Monday night:
Ben Roethlisberger was operated on Monday right elbow in Los Angeles at the Cedars-Sinai Orthopedic Clinic Kerlan Jobe. Dr. Neal ElAttrache conducted the procedure in consultation with Steelers' physician Jim Bradley, who began his career at Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic.
Once Ben returns to Pittsburgh, he will immediately begin working with the Steelers' medical staff for his rehab. He should fully recover and return to the field for the 2020 NFL season.
