States with the highest Labor Day gas prices

The national average price of a gallon of gasoline has hovered around $ 3.18 over the past four days, according to AAA.

It is the most expensive Labor Day weekend for gasoline prices since 2014, although some areas will hit consumer wallets harder than others.

California is home to the most expensive gas at around $ 4.39 a gallon. Hawaii and Nevada are also among the most expensive in the country, with prices in each state totaling more than $ 4 a gallon, an AAA spokesperson told FOX Business, referring to regular grade gasoline. .

“Outside of Ida-affected areas, gasoline supplies are sufficient for vacationing travelers, who should expect to pay the highest gasoline prices for Labor Day weekend since 2014, ”said AAA.
