This showed not only Brooklyn committing 19 turnovers, but also with Dallas holding the Nets to just 34 points throughout the second half.
Dallas is now 14-0 in games they led after the first quarter
The Mavericks prove that hot starts are becoming essential to their success. The 14 wins Dallas collected from a first quarter lead is the top of the league. The Mavericks are grappling with clutch issues again, as they sit 20th in the net clutch standings this season. Fortunately for Dallas, their departures put them in a position to succeed.
Mavericks are 11-2 when making 14 or more lines this season
Dallas started their season with one of the ugliest shooting streaks I’ve seen. Sitting last with a three-point efficiency for the majority of the front-runner, Dallas finally got out of that rut and found a deep rhythm. The Mavericks will end February without a game where they shot below 30% depth. This is something that happened in eight games before the month. If they can keep shooting at this rate, that 11-2 record won’t prove to be a fraud.
