The Pittsburgh Steelers made a series of trades Thursday on the heels of outside linebacker Bud Dupree, who suffered a late season knee injury Wednesday.

The Steelers announced Thursday that Dupree has now been placed on the team’s reserve / injured roster after tearing the ACL in his right knee in Wednesday’s fourth quarter game at home against the Baltimore Ravens. It is still not clear when Dupree will have his operation to repair his torn ACL.

Dupree is currently set to be an unrestricted free agent in March 2021 after playing under the franchise label in 2020. There’s a good chance he has played his final for the Steelers by this point. His 2020 season ends with him recording 31 total tackles, eight sacks, 15 quarterback hits, two defenses and two forced fumbles.

The Steelers filled the open list by signing rookie safety Antoine Brooks Jr. from the teams practice squad. Brooks was elevated to the active / inactive list again last week as a COVID-19 replacement. The Maryland product and this year’s sixth-round pick didn’t dress up for Wednesday’s game against the Ravens as he was one of five inactive.
