TJ Watt didn’t wait long to respond to failing to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. The Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker posted the famous Jordan meme from “The Last Dance” to Twitter after Aaron Donald won his third DOPY award.

Donald joins Texans passer JJ Watt as a three-time DPOY winner. Speaking of JJ, TJ’s older brother told his brother why he should have won the award.

“Aaron Donald is an absolutely amazing player. I love watching him play and he’s definitely heading into the Hall of Fame,” JJ written via Twitter. “It has nothing to do with AD personally. I’m the one saying what my brother doesn’t want. TJ played 1 game less and still led the NFL in all major categories.”

Both players deserved the prize. An All-Pro for a sixth straight year in 2020, Donald had 13.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and 14 tackles for a loss. Watt led the NFL with 15 sacks in 2020. He also led the NFL with 23 tackles for a loss. One of football’s most versatile outside linebackers, Watt also recorded an interception breaking seven passes.

Although he did not win the DPOY, Watt was the recipient of the Deacon Jones Award, named after the Rams Hall of Fame pass rusher. The award goes to the NFL sack chief every year.
