One of the biggest free agent decisions the Pittsburgh Steelers will face this offseason is what to do with wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Smith-Schuster is expected to enter free agency in March, and it’s unclear whether his contract requirements match what the Steelers will be able to offer.
Smith-Schuster spoke about the free agency during his four-hour Fortnite stream on Twitch Friday night. With literally thousands of concurrent viewers, you know Smith-Schuster has been bombarded with questions and comments about where he should be playing next season.
Typically, during his streams, Smith-Schuster uses a skin that makes him look like himself. But Smith-Schuster had fun with his subs on Friday and traded it in for versions of himself as a member of the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints.
Smith-Schuster’s 2020 season was a mixed bag. He finished with 97 strong receptions and nine receiving touchdowns, a career-high but just 831 yards and a career low of 8.6 yards per catch.
Smith-Schuster’s market value is everywhere and should have just enough unknowns that the Steelers at least try to bring him back.
