Soon, Steph Curry will hold just about every notable record in the history of the Warriors franchise.
But across multiple categories, Curry still pursues certain franchise icons, like field goals.
With his first bucket Friday night against the Charlotte Hornets at the Chase Center, Curry scored his 6,000th career goal in the regular season.
While 6,000 is a lot, Curry remains behind Chris Mullin (6150), Rick Barry (6466) and Wilt Chamberlain (7216) for most of franchise history.
Curry went 5 of 9 from the field in the first half for 13 points on Friday, helping the Warriors take a 66-51 lead over the Hornets at halftime.
He finished with 29 points as the Warriors claimed a 130-121 victory.
Needing just over 1,200 field goals to get past Chamberlain, Curry is expected to get there at the start of the 2021-22 NBA season, assuming he remains in good health.
Curry is also approaching franchise records for most career points and assists. He is expected to overtake Chamberlain on points (17,783) and Guy Rodgers on assists (4,855) in the coming weeks.

Mullin holds the franchise record for most thefts (1360) and Curry (1244) could get there in the next season or two.
When all is said and done, Curry will hold all the records and become the best player to wear the Warriors uniform.
