The Warriors couldn’t survive the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night as they lost their homeland’s last game, 104-95.
The Pacers have regularly invaded Steph Curry with several defenders and deployed a lot of “box-and-one” on the double MVP of the NBA.
It was a very solid team-wide effort, which is why Curry appeared annoyed with a specific question during his post-game media conference call.
“Um, he played defense,” the superstar said before laughing. “I don’t know. They were all aggressive. They had a plan. It wasn’t just him, it was everyone.
“I tried to slow us down and give us different looks. But… yeah (laughs).”
Curry finished the night with 20 points (7 for 17 overall, 3 for 8 of 3), three assists and two turnovers. He entered the game averaging 20.6 field goal attempts, so Indiana was able to limit his number of looks.
