DubNation, let's think back to a time when Steph Curry was MVP and before the Warriors won three NBA titles in five seasons.
Think back to October 12, 2014.
The Warriors competed against the Los Angeles Lakers in a preliminary game at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California.
Curry had not really established himself as a great player of all time. Kobe Bryant was at the twilight of his career after returning from a torn Achilles tendon.
In the third quarter, while the Warriors held a dominant league in the exhibition match, Bryant defended the full field defenseman against Curry two straight possessions in an attempt to annoy the playmaker too small.
The second time it happened, Curry created space and nailed a glider three steps back on Bryant.

In a recent interview with House of Highlight founder Omar Raja, Curry described his state of mind on this piece.
"It's him, I think the year after his Achilles [tear] and he's trying to recover his competitive fire because he's missed so much time. He began to take me in the open two property in a row, so that is the second possession. I have therefore taken up the challenge of course. They let it pass and they did not call, so I had to work with it.
"But I got on the ground and he was trying to steal it, trying to be physical, I got it with a small half step to get a little space and then just pulled deep and obviously he came in and then smiled at him, the little faucet tap.
"I tried not to have a reaction there because I was in the moment, but afterwards I thought," Damn it, it's pretty cool "because Kobe does not show this type of emotion. "

Few of Bryant, the Lakers and the rest of the NBA knew what was going to happen. The Warriors have won 67 games this season and reached the NBA Finals for the first time in 40 years. Curry would be named MVP of the NBA and lead the Warriors ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers to win his first NBA title.
