There are probably few people Andre Iguodala trusts more on the basketball court than Steph Curry.
But on a golf course? The former Warriors forward isn’t so confident, at least not this week.
Ahead of Friday’s “Match: Champions for Change”, in which Curry will team up with former NFL star Peyton Manning to take on Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson, Iguodala admitted he doesn’t pick his former teammate to win.
“I got inside information,” Iguodala said in an interview with Bleacher Report. “His game is not going in the right direction, like I said. I hope he will soon, because from today I am not betting on him. It is difficult for me. to bet on him. “
Curry always has an answer for skeptics, and he playfully fought back against Iguodala’s criticisms.
“???? @andre Those little birdies are lying to you to your boss. Keep your circle tighter,” Curry wrote in the comments on Bleacher Report’s Instagram post.
Although basketball is Curry’s daily job, he has become quite accomplished with golf clubs in his hands. He competed in the 2018 Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae in San Francisco and shot a 17-over (157). He missed the cup, but the result was still impressive for him entering as an amateur.
Curry also competes in the annual American Century Championship tournament in Lake Tahoe.
