Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody – the No.7 and No.14 picks in the NBA Draft last month – have been quite impressive in two Summer League games.
Hi Steve Kerr, do you think any of them will be a regular rotating player next season?
“I think it’s impossible to tell one way or the other,” Warriors head coach told Tim Kawakami of The Athletic Wednesday morning. “You have to see someone in practice every day to determine if they’re ready to play or not.
“But I’m excited. They’re both very good prospects. They both look like they’re part of it, for sure. I really respect Bob’s work. [Myers] and Joe [Lacob] and the staff did. “
Kerr is right. It is far too early to have any idea what their roles as rookies might be.
After adding Otto Porter Jr., Nemanja Bjelica and Andre Iguodala in free agency, the Warriors are expected to be a much deeper team in 2021-22 – assuming of course full health.
For now, Warriors fans should just enjoy watching Kuminga and Moody in Las Vegas and learning what they can do on the pitch.

Finally, Kerr was at the Tokyo Olympics on draft night. Has he zoomed in on the Golden State draft room?
“I wasn’t,” he told Kawakami. “I was talking with Bob [Myers] before the draft. I was watching the draft in our coaches’ office at the Tokyo Hilton.
“He trusts me to coach the team. I trust him to build the team. We work beautifully together and we enjoy the process together. So I’m excited about how it all turned out.”
