The Father of the Bride star revealed he received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Sunday in New York City and praised the “ silky smooth ” operation of the service.
Speaking to Twitter, he wrote: ‘Good news / bad news. Good news: I just got vaccinated! Bad news: I got it because I’m 75. Ha! The operation in New York was as smooth as silk (sorry for the @BCDreyer cliché!) And animated to perfection by the US military and National Guard. Thanks to everyone and thanks to science.

When asked how he got the vaccine, the 75-year-old actor wrote down the exact process he used to get an appointment.
“I signed up online through a NYC dot gov website (sorry, I don’t have the exact site), and queued at the Javits Center,” Martin wrote.
Other Hollywood stars have also received their shots.
Dame Judi Dench was thrilled to receive her COVID vaccine as it was nice to see people in the nearby village, even though they were ‘very, very far’ from her.

The 86-year-old actress let everyone know she had been vaccinated by sitting down for an interview with BBC News last week.
She said: ‘I had one last Thursday. Well, what was nice was in the next village, and you know, even though they were a really great distance away and I can’t see very well, I waved a lot of people that I thought I knew, which I’m sure I did, that were a very great distance away. It was awfully well organized.
And singer Tony Bennett also received his COVID-19 vaccine.
The 94-year-old singer took to Twitter this week to reveal he had received the first dose of his coronavirus vaccination as he encouraged others to take it as well.

The 79-year-old also wrote a long message in the caption to let her 3.5 million followers know that she is grateful for essential workers who have been tirelessly trying to end the global pandemic.
“ I am so proud and grateful to the doctors, nurses and medical staff going through the red tape and confusion of distributing these very important vaccines … the vaccines, “she wrote.
