Steve-o thinks Oregon’s new drug legalization law is going to create huge problems because he thinks it opens the door for young people who become addicts.
The “Jackass” star tells TMZ … anyone looking to use cocaine, methamphetamine, or any other hard drug will find a way to scratch that itch, whether there is a law against it or not. But, with Oregon recently voting to decriminalize possession of small amounts of cocaine, heroin, oxycodone, and methamphetamine … Steve-O thinks that could send the wrong message.
Steve-O – who has been sober for over a decade – thought it was a joke when he heard about the new law. Having said that … he is concerned that the new law will make it look like children can try cocaine and methamphetamine.
Steve-O understands that the court system cannot handle all cases involving small amounts of drugs. He thinks we need to pay close attention to Oregon … to see if drug use is going down or up.
