While she only had five concerts on the program for 2021, Stevie Nicks decided to cancel them all, the singer announced on Tuesday.
“These are tough times with tough decisions that need to be made,” Nicks said in a statement. “I want everyone to be safe and healthy and that the increase in Covid cases should be of concern to all of us. Although I am vaccinated, at my age I am still extremely careful and for this reason I decided to skip the 5 performances I had planned for 2021.
“Because singing and performing have been my whole life, my main goal is to stay healthy so that I can continue singing for the next decade or more,” the statement concluded. “I am devastated and I know the fans are disappointed, but we will look to a brighter 2022.”

Nicks, 73, was scheduled to perform at the Aspen Jazz Festival in Colorado and BottleRock Napa Valley over Labor Day weekend (September 3-5), both weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival (1st October 3 and October 1). 8-10), and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (aka Jazzfest, October 8-17).
