While Kensho's data shows that Apple's shares are down on average for the day and week of a media event, the stock is also bouncing back. On average, Apple's shares rose 10.7% three months after a media event.
Analysts, such as those at Citi Research, have been under control and generally do not see the announcement of Apple's services as a motivation for the title.
"We do not think today's announcement is a major catalyst for action, as consumers are slow to change their behavior," Citi said.
