Latest Walmart PS5 Updates:
- Walmart made its last PS5 restock at 9 p.m. ET on November 12, and the console has been out of stock since.
- Your next official chance to get a PS5 at Walmart will be on Black Friday (November 27), but we recommend that you regularly check the Walmart PS5 page until then.
The PS5 is out now, but the stock ran out so quickly that you’re probably struggling to find one, even if you used a handy guide where to buy. And unfortunately, Walmart has finished restocking supplies for the day.
At four different times on Thursday – noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET – Walmart posted a new inventory. These PS5 consoles were immediately purchased by enthusiastic buyers.
Walmart offered both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, so buyers had to choose between the full PS5 or the digital edition that does away with the Blu-ray player.
But there was one catch: you had to place your order online because you won’t be able to purchase one from your local Walmart store.
It is because Sony already announced that the new PS5 units will not be available online until the day of release, due to public safety concerns. So Walmart was quick to warn fans that there will be no consoles available for purchase in stores.
Target Also had PS5 consoles in stock today, but unlike Walmart, you can only get one if you order online and pick it up in store. (Like Walmart, however, Target’s supplies quickly dried up.) Walmart, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to be offering this, telling shoppers to “Be safe, stay home, and order online.”
While that does mean you’ll have to wait for your console to ship, you’ll still get one. And without having to risk going out in large crowds. After all, you don’t want to put yourself at risk for Covid-19, or worse having to deal with anyone who wants to steal your console.
For those of you who aren’t powering up your consoles or around release day, you’ll just have to wait for Sony and Microsoft to meet the demand.
So sit back, be patient, and don’t panic – the PS5 stock will likely come back at some point.
