It is a miracle of Easter and Passover.

According to a statement from Shop & Shop, the grocery chain "has entered into new tentative agreements with UFCW Locals 328, 371, 919, 1445 and 1459, which represent our 31,000 associates in Massachusetts, the United States. Connecticut and Rhode Island ".


The company said it would be happy to see its employees resume work "at the end of the strike".




Stop & Shop said that it was three-year agreements, submitted to the ratification vote of members of each local.

These agreements include: a salary increase for all partners and a continuous health coverage for eligible partners. They also include pension benefits for all eligible partners.



"Our employees' top priority will be restocking our stores so that we can once again take care of our customers and communities and provide them with the service they deserve," the statement said. "We deeply appreciate the patience and understanding of our customers during this time and look forward to welcoming them again to Stop & Shop."


There were no additional details provided.

The employees went on strike 11 days ago.

The United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) issued a statement in which they called the end of the strike triggered April 11 a "decisive victory".

"We are extremely grateful to our clients and all those who have proudly supported us every day with a contract that invests in the communities we serve," the statement said.

According to the UFCW statement, in the proposed contract, health care and pension benefits are preserved, salary increases are granted, and a half-premium on Sunday for current members will be maintained.

"This is a decisive victory for the 31,000 workers at Stop & Shop who fought bravely to defend what New Englanders want: quality jobs, affordable health care, better pay and be treated properly, a success, "said the UFCW statement.
