* The Storm Flip is the last item added to Fortnite. Many in the Fortnite competitive scene have automatically noticed how much it would be broken during the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers. Epic reacted and turned it off this weekend.*
The June 6 Fortnite update brought us the Storm Flip, which does exactly what its name suggests. The damage they cause is also commensurate with the current damage caused by the storm, which can be deadly if you save them for the end of the game.
Immediately, the competitive player base was worried about how the object would affect the end of the World Cup game.
In a normal game, there are only a handful of players when the storm turns around 5 or 10. In competition, there are still ten to twenty players, leading to clips like this one.

Fortunately, Epic quickly understood the mistake of their manners. They turned off the Storm Flip in Arena mode and published an article on Reddit about their intention to turn it off during the 9th week World Cup playoffs.
"Hey guys,
We will temporarily disable the Storm Flip for this weekend's tournament. All regions will play the opening game of the Fortnite World Cup in Week 9 with Storm Flip off.
In addition, Storm Flip will be temporarily disabled in the Arena playlists until the end of the weekend tournament. This fix will be deployed shortly later tonight and you will not need to download or fix your client.
Storm Flip will continue to be activated during this weekend.
Good luck!"
This move is fantastic for players looking to qualify this weekend, but it is more than that. For the first time, Epic begins to separate the loot pool into competitive and basic Fortnite modes.
The players have been asking for it for a while, mainly thanks to the addition of the revolver in the game.
Epic has repeatedly said that he did not plan to separate booty reserves in his competitive game, but it seems that Storm Flip was a little too far.
The Storm Flip is a perfect example of a decent article in the basic game and broken article in competition. It has its place in Fortnite Regular – allows players to save their teammates during the storm and away from the players.
In competition, however, it's just broken.
