Storm threat dissipates before pleasant Easter Sunday

Three days of violent storms in the south and south-east are about to give way to a nice holiday weekend for much of the country.

31 tornadoes have been reported in South Texas from Virginia – since Wednesday, including 13 Friday. The highest recorded gust of wind was 90 mph at Avon Pier, North Carolina on Saturday morning.
