According to CBS Boston, hundreds of counter-protesters have already gathered at City Hall. At least two people were arrested along the parade route at the very beginning, but it is still unclear whether there were any parade participants or protesters.
The parade takes place just outside Emerson College, which has canceled events and restricted access to certain buildings.
"The organizers of the Pride Parade have long-standing and well-documented links with white supremacist and anti-immigrant movements, "said a protester. In general, these are fascists who believe that they are the only acceptable type to be. "
