Street Fighter’s Guile & Cammy coming to Fortnite

Street fighters Guile and Cammy come to Fortnite who, anyway, who is not in Fortnite at this stage. What interests me most here is what happened to Guile’s face.

This is what Guile is Assumed Looks like

Which is weird, I know, but it’s a familiar weirdness. Guile’s overall appearance is something we’ve had 30 years to get used to, and we’ve done it, and now we notice when Guile doesn’t look like Guile.

And that Fortnite Guile’s version doesn’t look like Guile. The uniform stands out, the general silhouette of the man stands out, but instead of looking like a “Very Animated 80s GI Joe Action Figure”, by fortnite Guile looks like a dude driving an oversized truck, must have slept on a friend’s couch last night and is now use a mop to cosplay as her favorite street fighter character.

Certainly it is more beautiful with shades, maybe because it covers the Fortnite artistic style strangely lifeless eyes:

Having ransacked its design enoughI’m going to say something nice about it: handcuffs are a great touch, as they’re probably a nod to a famous old glitch found in the arcade version of Street Fighter II:

The easiest way to do this move when the enemy is dizzying. Carry out the motion for a Lightning kick (charge, then press up and kick) and press the hard and forward buttons, while trying to hit hard for a split second before pressing forward.

If done correctly, Guile’s throw should run and damage the enemy; however, the opponent will be frozen and stuck (or “handcuffed”) in front of Guile until the player uses the Invisible throw to “unblock” them.

Anyway, Cammy also joins Guile, and Cammy looks great.

Both characters will be available in-game on August 7.
