Time is busy in the Upper Midwest and Wisconsin is no exception. There is some kind of weather alert for every county in the state, with blizzard warnings to the north and warnings of strong winds in the south and south east until evening.
So far this morning, the gusts of wind have already been very strong, sometimes exceeding 40 and even 50 MPH.
Wind speed and gusts of wind are expected to increase in the afternoon and evening, possibly reaching gusts of up to 60 miles at the hour! As a reference, a severe thunderstorm warning is issued when thunderstorms produce gusts of 58 MPH or more, and, even if they last for a brief moment, these afternoon-blowing winds could cause punctual wind damage.
Because of this, the wind will be a big problem today. Keep the trees in mind as many branches may be loosened or weakened by the recent icing that they have undergone.
The other day of the day will be falling temperatures. The current temperatures are mostly in the 20s and 30s, but it will not be long like that. Discover the teenagers who show up in the far west.
The temperatures will drop all day and reach the teens at the end of dinner, then a few degrees below 0 for the minimums until the next day.
Given the strong winds, the wind chill can also drop below zero this afternoon.
