Now that the Fox and Disney mergers have been adopted, the House of the Mouse is about to release its first R-rated movie in about a decade. Stuber with Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Kumail Nanjiani (Men in black: International) arrives in theaters this weekend, for the first time since Disney / Touchstone The fifth state (2013), a film rated R entered the rooms of the family studio. Stuber part of the wide range of adult films from 20th Century Fox, as well as Matthew Vaughn Kingsman and the X-Men based Dead Pool.
The second rumors about the Disney and Fox chords began to surface, many soon wondered what the Bob Iger-led company would do with R rated properties, such as Ryan Reynolds, with the star dead Pool. According to Iger himself, if it's not broken, Disney does not plan to fix it. Even long before the end of the massive merger, Iger explained that Marvel had considered making R-rated superhero movies.
Marvel Studios director Kevin Feige had already touched on the subject, saying that even though he and his team were not interested in adult films for the moment, that did not mean that they would not do it in the future.
"Right now, we do not work on R-Rated movies. It's not out of the question, but right now, no, "the producer revealed.
"What I retain from these two films [Deadpool and Logan] It's not the R rating, it's the risk they took, the chances they took, the creative limits they pushed back, "said Feige. "This should be the delivery for everyone."
In terms of Marvel movies, Black Widow is filming and was originally rumored to be Marvel's first R-rated movie, although Feige himself eventually denied these rumors. Other upcoming movies like The eternals and Shang-Chi should be PG-13 movies.
