The Oklahoma City Thunder (41-26) won a major win on the road Monday night in Salt Lake City, beating Utah Jazz (37-29) by a final score of 98-89. While Paul George had only 14 points on two out of 8 shots, it was Dennis Schroder who had taken the advantage, scoring 18 of his team's 24 points, 24 points after half-time, to help the Thunder to stay ahead. Russell Westbrook contributed 23 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in the win, achieving a strong performance in front of a crowd that booed all its spinoffs. The Jazz only shot 36% of the competition, a welcome reminder of what this Thunder team looks like when it is immobilized in defense.
This victory allows the Thunder to be in fourth place at the Portland West Conference. With this loss, Utah drops to 8th place – half a game behind 7th place in the Clippers.

Game of tracks. There were only five lead changes and four draws (all in the first half), but the game remained tight as both teams traded points. OKC was 9-0 in the first quarter, followed by a 10-2 record from Jazz. The Thunder opened the second quarterback with an 8-0 run, Utah responded with another 8-0, before the Thunder added a second 8-0 run to take control before the end of the first half.
Although thunder has led the entire second half of the game, the Jazz has tried several times to go back to make it interesting. However, OKC had an answer for each round and never let their lead be reduced to less than five. Great credit to Dennis Schroder (18 points in 2nd half) for supporting the thunder after halftime. They do not do it without him.
Russ. For the second time in three games on the road, Westbrook was booed every time he touched basketball. The Brodie responded with 23 points (9/19 FG, 2/4 3P), 11 rebounds and eight assists – another solid exit – but will likely make most of his titles for an interaction he's had with some Jazz fans. The fan thing. Long story short – Russ was filmed saying something very unflattering things for a pair of jazz fans. Blasphemy. Aggressive. It was not a good look.

It is delicate. On the one hand, you hope that your superstar leader will not threaten to hit a man and his wife. On the other hand, it is a human being and he will react as such if he is provoked. Regardless of what you feel about it, the dynamic player / fan conversation will only intensify.
