Final Fantasy VII Remake opened the show, Avengers closed it.

Square Enix

Square Enix has announced the release date of Final Fantasy VII Remake before Press conference of E3 2019 Monday night – but the company still had a lot to do for the biggest video game convention.

Avengers was unveiled after about two weeks of teasing on social networks. You can play there next May. There was also a lot of love in Final Fantasy – for VII Remake and XIV – and for a whole series of movie trailers.

If you need catch-up, we put it conveniently every trailer up to now in this convenient post. The next place and the last chance for press conferences is Nintendo Direct, then CNET will reach the showroom and the real the pleasure begins.

Marvel & # 39; s Avengers

Developed by Crystal Dynamics, the team behind Tomb Raider's new beloved games, Avengers is the new video game based on the comic book that will be all the rage. (Even though these do not look like the Avengers you know and love.)

Square Enix has been teasing the game since the end of May. We saw Thor, Iron-Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Black Widow trying to save New York – again – in the trailer posted at the end of the Square Enix press conference.

Shaun Escayg from Crystal Dynamics and Bill Roseman from Marvel Games spoke to introduce the game to success. It will be a game to one or more players, said Escayg. Rosemann explained that it was about The Crystal Avengers, Crystal Dynamics, and not a derivative of the Marvel film universe.

Scott Amos and Meagan Marie, both from Crystal Dynamics, then arrived. They revealed that we would have a four person online multiplayer mode and that the list of superheroes would grow over time. "Every new superhero and every new region will be delivered at no extra cost," said Amos. Marie has promised no loot boxes or payment scenarios to win. The crowd loved that.

Avengers will be launched on May 15, 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and even Google Stadia. PlayStation 4 owners will get early beta access and "unique benefits that we will unveil in the future," according to Amos.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: A tale in two parts

Square Enix has announced the release date of Final Fantasy VII Remake, March 3, 2020, 24 hours before his press conference on E3 2019. So what remains to society for its big event?

A lot.

Yoshinori Kitase opened the Square Enix show and announced that the game would run in two parts, one inside Midgar and the other on the outside. The complete remake will use two full Blu-ray discs, in the same way that the original PlayStation 1 used three CDs.

We then had a combat exploder from Neal Pabon, senior director of product marketing. Remake will use a hybrid combat system, using piracy and real-time reduction, as well as a tactical mode at any time allowing for the use of magic, objects and Limit Break attacks.

You can also add shortcuts that bypass the bullet-time mode, making it more similar to a Kingdom Hearts battle experience. The demo ended with the battle between Cloud and Barrett's boss against Scorpion Sentinel. Part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake press conference ended with a long trailer, which gave us a first glimpse of Tifa in the remake.

Then we had a whole series of trailers for upcoming suites, remasters and remakes.

Final Fantasy XIV

Final Fantasy XIV, the flagship online game of Square Enix, was the next game to get noticed. Naoki Yoshida, producer of Final Fantasy XIV Online, came to talk about Shadowbringers, the third extension pack, to be released on July 2nd.

Shadowbringers is more than an extension pack, Yoshida explains. Square Enix looks more like a standalone game. It will bring two new jobs and two new races to the game, launched for the first time in 2010 and then relaunched under the name of A Realm Reborn in 2013.

In addition to those games that had stage presentations, we also saw a lot of trailers. Like, an overwhelming amount. Some are meant for brand new games, others are ports or remasters. Anyway, there is necessarily a game for everyone. Here is the trailer lot of Square Enix.
