In what we can only call tradition at this point, the dates of Steam's summer 2019 sales have fled. the Twitter account of the Steam database initially spotted the date on a Chinese steam community page, SteamCN, and reportedly confirmed the date with multiple sources. If the leak is accurate, Steam's summer sales will be posted on June 25 at 10:00 am, Paris time / 5:00 pm GMT (and June 26 at 3:00 am, Eastern time) and will last approximately two weeks.
In recent years, the start dates of the summer sales have fallen between June 21st and 23rd, so the date announced for 2019 does not differ much from the previous ones.
It is likely that this year's sale will bring back Steam trading cards and mini-games from previous years. Last year's game was Summer Salien, a browser game in which you traveled to the galaxy to rescue games abducted by aliens. You can earn XP and unlock new abilities. The defense of some planets allows you to win the corresponding game for free.
Steam has even more reason to spare no effort for the summer sales this year, while Epic Games Store is apparently preparing to hold its first big sale throughout the store. The Epic Mega Sale news was revealed for the first time on a Fortnite bulletin board and was later confirmed by Epic Games, which tweeted that more details are coming soon. Epic Games Store continues to acquire exclusive PC versions of major titles, such as The Division 2 and Borderlands 3, but there is no doubt that Steam still has the volume and variety of games that make its summer sale an event as important for PC players.
