Suns warn of fan violence after incident at rally on Sunday

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns are reminding fans to be respectful while cheering on their favorite team following an incident at the Road Game Rally on Sunday.

In a tweet on Monday, the team said some fans “crossed the line” at Sunday’s Watch Party at the Phoenix Suns Arena.

Phoenix Police said security guards had been contacted by security about an assault in the stands.

Officers spoke to everyone involved and viewed cell phone footage, later learning that there had been an argument that turned physical when a person poured a drink on someone else and that ‘one fan hit another. Police said two men were named for their role in the incident.

Suns fans tweeted what are believed to be images of the incident in question.

The Suns lost Game 3 to the Milwaukee Bucks 120-100 on Sunday.
