Super Bowl LV attendees will be required to wear masks in certain outdoor areas of the Tampa, Florida area, Mayor Jane Castor said on Wednesday.
Castor commented on wearing the extra mask in a live Facebook feed with Kansas City, Missouri Mayor Quinton Lucas ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Kansas City Chiefs game on February 7, according to the Tampa. Bay Times.

“We are placing an additional mask order that will require masks outdoors in areas that we believe will be densely populated with Super Bowl fans,” Castor told the newspaper.
Castor’s office is expected to disclose more details about the mask order on Thursday. Castor’s spokeswoman Ashley Bauman told the Tampa Bay Times that NFL volunteers should enforce the order and give masks to fans.
The city of Florida already has a mask ordinance in place, but for those new to business.

To further protect the public from the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Hillsborough County Emergency Policy Group (EPG) has passed an ordinance requiring face masks to be worn in businesses open to the public, with some exceptions close, ”the Hillsborough County government website said.
“The ordinance applies to all people, including customers and employees, inside Hillsborough County businesses that are open to the public when social distancing cannot be maintained.”

Raymond James Stadium, which was open to fans at certain times during the season, has its own mask requirements. The stadium requires supporters to wear masks when entering bag screening areas until they leave the stadium unless they are eating or drinking. There is also no tailgating allowed.
