Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury was the best-selling game of February (US)

NPD sales tracking data revealed Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury got off to a solid start in the United States, in terms of sales. When it launched in February, the game was ranked as the best-selling game and the second-best-selling game of 2021. This notably does not include its digital sales.

Super Mario 3D World seems to have had as much success in other regions. In Japan, the game launched at number one on the charts and it is estimated that it sold 250,000 physical copies in the first few days. In the UK, sales were reportedly 190% higher than the original Wii U, and the game was called the top-selling version in 2021.
