Super Mario Maker 2: New details revealed by the poster

New details on Super Mario Maker 2 were revealed from a new poster rising in Japanese electronics stores and spotted by Twitter users. The poster seems to confirm the details of the unannounced game that will appear in the suite of Nintendo Switch, including Meowser and Charvaarghs of Super Mario 3D World and a host of small details, like how the game presents a jungle-inspired world in the 8-bit style of Super Mario Bros.

More importantly, it's a glimpse of all the new ingredients and extra flavors that Nintendo throws into the pan for Super Mario Maker 2.

Back when Super Mario Maker 2 was revealed, Nintendo did not talk much about it. Instead, the company left the fans to choose the game's trailer for new details. Now, half a dozen screen shots reveal a little more.

Here is an overview of what's new Super Mario Maker 2:

In the screenshots above, we see what seems to be Mario, floating in space – similar to swimming underwater – in New Super Mario Bros.thematic stage. We also see a Super Mario Bros.jungle style, with a Wiggler and a Thwomp dragging underwater. A Super Mario WorldA theme scene, set in the sky with clouds, shows multicolored pipes, multicolored platforms and Goombrats. A Super Mario 3D WorldThis stage includes images of Meowser, a blue plant of Piranha, and Charvaarghs, enemies of the lava leaping.

But wait, there is (a little) more:

In the above, we see cranes carrying enemies and Piranha plants hanging upside down in a Super Mario Bros. 3level, and the player changing the path of a Piranha Creeper in a 3D world level.

So, yes, a lot of small incremental additions to Super Mario Makerbut meaningful for players looking to add more variety to their handmade levels.

Super Mario Maker 2 arrives at Nintendo Switch on June 28th.
