Speaking at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Communications and Media Entertainment Conference in 2019, Tom Williams, President and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts, posed questions about the Super Nintendo World Park, which will open in Japan in the spring of 2020. United States and other places later. Discussions on console integration focused on the news of the score tracking bracelets, which track the evolution of players in various games in the park. You can read this information here if you are not familiar with the news.
Although the bracelets can be used inside the park to track the scores, it seems that their goal does not stop there. In a transcript of the conference that we can see here, Williams said that the unique bracelet "presented interfaces with your game consoles". He explained that you can "continue to use it, then come back, and everything is up on."
Judging by its sound, it seems that the Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch Online will get some kind of application or a related game related to the park that will track the progress of visitors to the parks. The Nintendo Switch itself was not mentioned specifically, but that's certainly where the integration will come from. Other potential links, such as Super Nintendo World visitors who get exclusive bonuses or offers for their favorite games, also seem to be something that will likely happen at some point.
We do not know yet when the Super Nintendo World will open its doors in the United States, but we will soon see other plans of the park in the approach of its opening in Japan.
