Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Leak Seems Debunked

[ad_1]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s The next DLC character has leaked, or at least that’s what a new rumor has made Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite users think. Speaking to the internet, the rumor boldly asserted, with “evidence,” that the next character entering the game after the addition of Minecraft Steve will be Kingdom Hearts protagonist, Sora, one of the most requested characters for years. That said, the rumor is far from convincing, in fact it already seems debunked.

Taking to 4chan, a supposed escapee shared a handful of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate images showing Sora in-game, suggesting that the Square Enix character is either the game’s next DLC character or shortly thereafter. Of course, “leaks” on 4chan should always be taken with a big grain of salt given the sheer amount of bullshit going through the forum. However, one should not ignore the many leaks and rumors that first erupted on 4chan, including some very questionable ones, which turned out to be true and correct. Having said that, again, this doesn’t appear to be an example of this.

While the pictures make the rumor a bit more believable than most, there is a glaring issue with one of the pictures. Specifically, the image shows Sora striking a pose, or rather a pose that Shulk players will be very familiar with as it is literally the same animation, confirming everything except that the Sora images or nothing more than a skin mod using Shulk as a model.

Could we still see Sora coming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Sure, but this rumor / leak doesn’t prove it’s happening.
