The reorganization of the NBCUniversal entertainment content team is complete with Susan Rovner creating the team and around 50 employees who left as part of the changes.
Deadline understands that Bruce Evans, EVP, Current Programming and Dan Shear, EVP, Comedy Development at Peacock are two of the top executives coming out. It marks the latest change with the merging of current programming with the development and development of comedy under Jeff Meyerson.
The move comes after Rovner created her executive team in November, with Lisa Katz becoming president of scripted content and her division of the unscripted team into two divisions.
Cara Dellaverson and Alex Sepiol have been asked to co-lead drama development and stream in NBCU’s portfolio, including NBC, its cable networks and streamer Peacock. They have both been named EVP, Drama Series, Entertainment Content and report to Katz.

Dellaverson has worked for NBCU since 2015 and previously served as Executive Vice President of Drama Programming for NBC Entertainment, where she directed shows including It’s us good girls and New Amsterdam.
Sepiol, who started out as an assistant in the US, has been with the company since 2004 and previously served as executive vice president of script development for NBCUniversal Entertainment & Lifestyle Group and Direct-to-Consumer, where he oversaw the development of scripted projects for the US, SYFY, Bravo, E! and Peacock. He has been credited with bringing shows such as Mr. Robot, Dirty John and The fisherman.
Jeff Meyerson will lead the flow and development of comedy as Executive Vice President, Comedy Series, Entertainment Content. He was previously SVP, Comedy Development at NBC Entertainment and has directed shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the right place and Mr. Mayor.
Michael Sluchan will direct films, children’s programs and co-productions as EVP, Current Series and Co-Productions, Entertainment Content. Sluchan has been with the company for over 20 years, SVP of Current Programming and Limited Series for NBCUniversal Entertainment & Lifestyle Networks and Direct-to-Consumer, where he led the current production of all scripted series in the States. -Unis, SYFY, Bravo, E! and peacock
Under Jenny Groom, EVP, Unscripted Content, who oversees Talent Contest Formats and Game Shows, Sharon Vuong will lead development as SVP, Unscripted Development, Entertainment Content and Shelby Shaftel will lead current programming as SVP, Current unscripted programming, Entertainment content. Vuong, who joined CBS last year, was previously SVP of Alternative Programming and Development and led the development of shows such as This is my jam with Jimmy Fallon and Small Fortune, while Shaftel was previously SVP of Alternative Programming and Development for NBC Entertainment and oversaw Titan games, the wall and Make.
On the lifestyle and docuseries side, led by Rod Aissa, Rachel Smith will lead development and Shari Levine will lead current programming. Smith, who becomes EVP, Unscripted Development, Entertainment Content, was previously EVP of Development for Bravo and E !, where she worked The real housewives franchise, and Levine, which becomes EVP, Unscripted Current Production, Entertainment Content, was previously Production EVP for Bravo, where she oversaw shows such as Project track and Top chef.
The majority of departures are in the content team with a few additional exits in planning, acquisitions and marketing.
