"This is not anyone who was Republican," Sarandon told the crowd during his introduction of Sanders, according to Holly Otterbein, Politico reporter.
Sarandon, a supporter of Sanders, did not mention Warren's name, but the Massachusetts senator was a registered Republican in the mid-1990s.

"I was a Republican because I thought those were the ones who best supported the markets," Warren told Politico in 2011. "I think that's no longer the case."
Warren and Sanders – two Liberal favorites – voted at the top of the overcrowded Democratic presidential primary platoon.
A national survey released last week by The Economist / YouGov showed that Warren was in second place with 20%, while Sanders was just behind with 16%. Former Vice President Joe Biden dominated this poll with 21% support.
