American actress Susan Sarandon made a veiled attempt against Democrat Elizabeth Warren in 2020 while she was campaigning for her opponent, Bernie Sanders.
Sarandon promoted the Vermont Independent Senator, Sanders at a rally on Monday in Iowa, claiming that he "was not someone who was Republican", according to the Politico reporter Holly Otterbein. The award-winning actress did not make a direct comparison with other Democratic presidential candidates in 2020.
"It was not a Republican," says Susan Sarandon, introducing Bernie Sanders at a social ice event in Iowa, explaining how he fought for the same issues for years.

This comment is a slam against Senator Warren, a Massachusetts member, Republican registered for at least seven years, until 1996, when she changed party to become a Democrat.
Sarandon gained notoriety among Democrats and is often accused of having helped President Trump win the 2016 victory. Sarandon chose not to support former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016 and instead chose a third party.
Susan Sarandon is a proven enemy of the Democratic Party. She actively helped to elect Donald Trump. Accepting his endorsement or including him in a political rally should be unacceptable to any candidate whose real priority is to secure Dem's victory in 2020. https://t.co/Quev2cQYxl
