A teenager from Kansas was charged in the Topeka case with the murder of Giants middle-aged cornerback Giant Corey Ballentine and his 23-year-old friend Dwane Simmons.

The two men were shot dead on April 28 as they were leaving an off-campus party at Washburn University, just hours after Ballentine, 23, learned that he had been chosen by Big Blue.

The accused gunman Francisco Alejandro Mendez, 18, is being held instead of a $ 1 million bail for murder and attempted murder, ESPN reported on Friday night.

The two men were shot after saying "no" to a stranger who had asked them if they had any pot to sell, said Ballentine's father at the time.
